Sisyphe by Dirk Braeckman

€45.00

Co-edited by Xavier Barral and LE BAL on the occasion of the exhibition, Sisyphe gathers for the first time in its entirety the eponymous series of Dirk Braeckman in this 32 pages publication.

The series reveals a blurred scene, where fragments of bodies, legs, arms, backs and faces come closer to one another, merging behind these grey tones. Anonymous gestures bring to the surface of the images a sensual mix of body fragments and gatherings with no particular storypoint.

Sisyphe is an atypical book and its light, rigid and almost transparent paper highlights the darkness of the images as well as the aesthetic strangeness of the work.
